The Four Different Nations of The United Kingdom

     The United Kingdom is containing four countries which are England,Scotland,Wels,and Northe Irland. Each country of these four countries has it's different culture and traditions. First of all, England. Englands flag is a red cross on a white ackground just like it is shown in the picture:

The cross in the English flag is called St.Gorges Cross.English popluation is around 50 million. The English are known for the qween, dreanking tea and talking about the weather. The plant that represents England is the rose. The most common surname in both England and Scotland 'Smith'.

Scotland is in the north of Great Braitin. It's flag is a white cross on a blue background. The cross is in called St.Andrew's Cross.

Scottish Flag

Ednnburgh is the Capital City of Scotland and home of Scottish Parlment. The parlament building is a work in it-self . Just over five million people is the population of Scotland and it has been part of the U.K sense 1707. Scottish have some uniqe customs wearing tartan killts, playing the bagpipes and tossing the caber. For over 60 years the Ednbrugh Festavle celebrated art, theater and culture.

Wales is located in the weastern eadge of Britin. It's been part of the U.K for 400 years. Nearly three million people live in Wales. One of it's semples is a red dragon found on the national flag as it's shown in the picture below:

The Welsh Assembly is in the capital city Cardiff. The Welsh are proud of their language. 20 % of the people speak Cymraeg and most signs are in English and Welsh. Singing is an important tradition in Wales.

Northern Ireland is also part of the U.K The country is a home for just two million people.

The Capital is Belfast. For many years Northern Ireland  was a place of conflict. 

The Northern Ireland's flag is similar to the English flag with two deffrencis which are a red hand and the crown that shows the links to the rest of the United Kingdom :

Irish Dancing is famous in both northern and southern Ireland. 

and it has been exported around the world.

The four countries of the U.K have defferint tradetions but those deffrences are also strengths that mad the 

U.K what it is today.

The Welsh flag was not added to the U.K flag because it was difficult to added it with the red dragon in the Welsh Flag. Wales is still one of the most important parts of the United Kingdom.
